The well-house of the Holzborn is located outside the town wall on the hillside north of the town. It is reached from Kapellenweg via the lane Am Holzborn. When foundations for houses were being built some years ago, wooden pipes were found which carried water from the Holzborn downhill. Historians suspect that the pipes carried the spring water down to the imperial palace.
