The Lambertusbrunnen was first mentioned in 1289. It is to be found in Lambertusgasse which lies between the inner and outer town walls. Originally the well-house had a vestibule which was decorated on both sides with statues of saints. The water was renowned for being good, soft drinking water.
Its shape is reminiscent of a wine pannier
